How fabulous are holidays, relaxing, food, wine, sunsets, lay-ins, reading, games but most of all quality time with your loved ones! I think for most of us holidays are the end goal after a hard semester at uni, a long term at school or a tough month in the office. Our holiday to Thailand was the cherry on top of a fantastic and exhausting first term back at school and these were our adventures :)
Now I have been to Phuket many times now, but each time I find something different that I like and we found a special area Surin beach. The beach was beautiful, no sun beds (which I loved), cute local cafes, western restaurant options and a couple of scattered bars. The beach was only 750m long, which is a smaller beach for Thailand, so it felt very cosy and comfortable.
Our hotel was just across the road, on Surin Beach Road surrounded by other smaller hotels, restaurants and shops. It was such a peaceful area, enough tourists to make it feel busy, without being crowded or feeling like you were sitting on an Bondi beach! Twin Palms was our delightful home for 5 days and we just adored the hotel. Incredible service, kind warm friendly staff, great food options (Western & Thai), lovely long pool, and the most fabulous breakfast with free flow sparkling Chandon. I had never been to a hotel that offers a glass of bubbles as your welcome drink and serves you bubbles at breakfast everyday, we definitely enjoyed the experience.
Bang Tao the next beach along is lovely, we did some morning walks and swims, but the area isn't as nice as Surin. Surin beach had a lovely feel to it, people sat on the beach till 8pm enjoying the surrounding music, sunset and nice atmosphere!
I would highly recommend staying in this area and at this hotel for a Phuket week or weekend away, it is by far by favourite spot in Phuket. Living in Singapore, we are so close, that we are planning our next trip back already :) Enjoy your adventures !!
My life really does revolve around food! I love learning about produce, reading new recipes, trying to create my own. Here are some of my food, travel and creative journeys, I hope you find them interesting or just delicious!
